About
It's no secret that artificial intelligence has made its way into our profession. Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used in healthcare to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery. Here are some of the ways AI is being used in healthcare. The HL7 Davinci Project is underway, and aims to optimize the prior authorization process between provider and payer via FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources). Are we as clinicians, and critical thinkers leveraging this technology in a way that innovates quickly enough? How can we take the work that's being done in Clinical Trials so that we can make predictions that make an impact on outcomes? How do we use this information to best prepare the workforce to be equipped from a holistic stance? I joined a very small community of clinicians that are entering into the tech space so that our profession has a seat at the table of innovation.
Overall, AI has the potential to revolutionize healthcare by improving patient outcomes, reducing costs, and enhancing the efficiency of healthcare delivery. However, it's important to ensure that AI is used ethically and responsibly, with appropriate safeguards in place to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
