Clinical Strategy and Practice Lead
In her role as Clinical Strategy & Practice Lead, Heather has responsibility to support clinical excellence and leadership opportunities that strengthen, advance and retain Humana’s community of 10,000 nurses as well as attract new nurses to Humana.
Heather has a diverse leadership background in the Healthcare industry. Prior to joining the CNO, she was a leader in Humana at Home/SeniorBridge with oversight of multiple private pay branches and responsibility for all training programs designed to enhance the associate and patient experience. She was a Strategic Consultant for over nine years responsible for the establishment of partnerships with Clinical Operations, IT and HR. These partnerships enabled her to implement and integrate multiple operations departments into new clinical systems, streamlining outreach to our members. Before joining Humana, Heather held various leadership positions at various managed care companies with oversight of case, disease and utilization management programs.
She has more than 29 years’ experience in nursing with a concentration in medical/ surgical for diabetic, vascular, and geriatric patients and managed care. Heather has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. She is a Registered Nurse in Kentucky with a compact license and is a Certified Case Manager. She is a current member of The American Nurses Association and the Kentucky Nurses Association.
