About

Jennifer Fenstermacher has been a social worker for 28 years, she received her MSS from Bryn Mawr College in 1999, LCSW in 2001, and my CCM in 2018. Jennifer started her career supervising a group home for adolescents with severe/profound intellectual disabilities. She moved on to working with children, youth and families dealing with abuse and neglect. Jennifer then transferred to medical social work where I found my calling to work with medically complex children. She started doing labor/deliver and the NICU for a general hospital and then moved to AI DuPont Hospital for Children where she remained for ten years. Jennifer founded a dual tack support group for families with medically complex children called Chronically Cool Families. A social worker meets with the parents and a Child Life Specialist meets with the affected child and their siblings at the same time; so the entire family can attend together. It will reach it's 10th anniversary in March 2020. I currently work for an insurance company as a care coordinator.
