Michelle Harrison has worked in the Health Care Industry for over 16 years, but has been a Registered Nurse for 11+ years, gaining experience in community-based public health, education, stroke awareness and prevention. Michelle holds her Bachelor of Science in Community-based Public Health and Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Leadership and Management.
Through the years, Michelle has worked with community agencies in the areas of geriatric health/wellness, sexual exploited minors, sex education for youth, nutritional education for children, and workers' comp case management. As a Stroke Coordinator and Founder of Honey Ink Publishing, LLC, she is passionate about supporting individuals through their stroke recovery by using journaling as a tool to improve mental well-being and healing through their recovery. Michelle is a stroke survivor at the early age of 29, she used journaling as a tool to heal and cope with anxiety post-stroke. Journaling has been an additional tool used during her stroke support groups as a Stroke Coordinator. In addition to educating people on their health and well-being, she is also involved in Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., a Health Coach, writes children's books, runs a publishing company and enjoys spending time with her handsome husband and four boys.
