Stan Scioscia, M.Ed., CDMS, CRC
A 35-year veteran in disability management program initiatives. Most recently Account Manager for Aetna Life, Disability and Leave Administration based in San Francisco serving Corporate Group Insurance clients in policy implementation, claims management and retention activities for 13 years. Stan developed a strong reputation dialogue with human resources and benefit consultants in evaluating program metrics and plan designs to mitigate the impact of workplace disability.
Previous, Stan was an Executive Disability Sales Consultant at Liberty Mutual and Matrix Absence Management where he developed expertise in self-funded California Statutory (SDI) Voluntary Disability Insurance (VDI) Plans and the integration of workers compensation, group disability and leave programs. Early in his professional career, he served as a vocational consultant for a broad range of workers compensation disability cases offering rehabilitation plan development and return to work services.
Currently serving as a CCMC Board Member with responsibilities for Governance & Nomination, Ethics and Test Development. Stan was previously the Chair for the Certification of Disability Management Specialists Commission (CDMSC) for 2015-2016 and for 7 years provided valuable input on multiple committees including work with Core Knowledge Curriculum, Finance, and Public Relations/Marketing.
Stan is also a sustaining member of the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) and served for over 10 years as the Program Chair for the San Jose/Silicon Valley Chapter. Throughout his progressive career, he presented frequently on subjects including the role and function of the Disability Management Specialist and Case Management intervention strategies and program development.
