1915(c) Waiver Programs: Case Management in the Dually Eligible Population

Description

Within broad Federal guidelines, states can develop home and community-based (HCBS) waivers that meet the needs of people who prefer long-term care services in their home or community rather than in an institutional setting. There are specific criteria that the state waiver program must adhere to. The focus of this session is to enhance participant's knowledge of 1915(c) home and community-based services care management/waiver service coordination - with special attention to members who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid.
