His leadership is instrumental in advancing the mission of DMEC, which is dedicated to enhancing strategies and knowledge in these critical areas, ultimately enabling employers to adeptly manage and support employees facing disabilities or absences. Prior to his role at DMEC, Mr. Bass served as the Senior Vice President, Workforce Absence, and Disability Practice Leader at Sedgwick. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in supporting the Sedgwick workforce absence group, focusing on product strategy and innovation, providing consultation to business development and marketing, overseeing regulatory and legislative matters, and championing initiatives that advanced the industry's thought leadership and best practices within the product line. His extensive background also includes serving as the Director of Integrated Disability Management at Pacific Gas and Electric, where he successfully oversaw the company's comprehensive delivery of disability and absence management services. This encompassed self-insured/self-administered workers' compensation, fitness for duty, leave of absence, accommodation, and time-off programs.
