Dorothy Tran, DO is a family physician who has been practicing medicine for over 10 years. She attended medical school at Midwestern University - Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL. She completed her family medicine residency training at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL.

She currently works at Union County Public Health Department in North Carolina as their Child Health, Family Planning, STI provider. She has been the medical champion for implementing the Collaborative Care Model in the Child Health clinic at Union County - the first health department to do so in North Carolina. In addition, she has been the medical consultant for Reach Out and Read, a nationwide program that promotes shared reading between caregivers and their children. Previously, she also led initiatives in implementing CenteringParenting®, a group-based approach to pediatric well visits.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and cooking. She has just started to dabble in gardening.
