Kat is a dedicated Population Health Nurse with the Duke Foster Care Clinic and Program, specializing in providing comprehensive care and advocacy for vulnerable populations, particularly foster children. With a strong focus on bedside care and case management, Kat is deeply committed to supporting the community of caregivers for children in foster care. She plays a pivotal role in the clinic’s data collection efforts, co-authoring publications related to foster care, and advocating for the well-being of both the children and their caregivers. Holding certifications as a Case Manager (CCM) and as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for both the Adult/Adolescent and Pediatric populations (SANE-A and SANE-P), Kat brings a wealth of expertise to her work. She also earned a Master’s in Nursing Informatics, where she developed a passion for leveraging data-driven strategies to enhance patient care.
