Julie Penterson, cPNP-PC, CCM, is a Certified Case Manager and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in pediatric healthcare. Julie earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Columbia University, where she developed a strong foundation in pediatric care and working with at risk patient populations.

Motivated by a desire to support children with complex medical needs, Julie transitioned from primary care to pediatric complex care management in 2018. Currently, she serves as the Manager of Special Kids Special Care, a care management program within Boston Medical Center Health System. The program serves medically complex children involved with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF), providing coordinated, multidisciplinary support to improve health outcomes and continuity of care for this vulnerable population.

Julie's work reflects a strong commitment to health equity and advocacy for children with special healthcare needs. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys reading, running, paddle boarding, and spending time with her husband and teen-aged children.
