Karen Thomas, RN, MSN, CCM, is the Vice President, Clinical Solutions at CorVel Corporation, a national provider of risk management solutions for workers' compensation, auto, health and disability management industries. Karen’s passion is to develop new care models to heal injured workers and restore function. She has 42 years of clinical experience with a focus on case management and technology solutions in various settings, and has taught nursing and case management at the university level, creating curriculum to propel case management into clinical practice. Karen oversees CorVel's clinical services including Advocacy 24/7 triage, telehealth, early intervention nursing, utilization review, case management, vocational rehabilitation, return to work coordination, disability management, pain management, cognitive behavioral therapy and life care planning.
